Dream Matches
These are some feuds that I would really love to see in the WWF! They'll
probably never happen, but I can dream! All of these are in pretty much
chronological order in respect to each other.
The feuds: (details below)
RVD/Rhyno (IC title)
Edge/Christian/RVD (IC/Euro titles)
Matt Hardy/Christian (IC title)
Matt Hardy/Rhyno (IC title)
Matt Hardy/RVD (non title feud)
Test & Booker T/APA (Number 1 contender spot for tag titles)
Test & Booker T/Chuck & Billy (tag titles)
Kurt (with Stephanie)/HHH
HHH & Kurt/Edge & Christian
HHH/Jericho
Edge/HHH (Unified title)
RVD/Rhyno (IC title)
Beginning champion: Rhyno
A month's buildup and a very hard fought PPV match. RVD comes away with
the titles and holds it for a few months before losing it to Christian
(see E/C/RVD). With their talent, these two could put on a very face paced
and brutal set of matches.
Edge/Christian/RVD (IC/Euro titles)
Beginning champions:
Christian - Euro
RVD - IC
This starts off with a Euro title match between Christian and RVD. Christian wants RVD's IC title, and RVD wants to add Christian's Euro belt to his IC title. Soon after this first match, Edge scores an IC title match with Rob and starts going after the IC belt as well. As both E&C are going after the same man, they bump into each other while both attacking Rob after one of his matches. They end up brawling with each other, Rob simply shrugged and leaving, in a very comical moment. It develops into a three-way feud, Edge vs. RVD vs. Christian, over both Christian's Euro title and RVD's IC title. This feud would have LOTS of great promos from all the participants.
At the PPV a three-way elimination match is scheduled. Both titles are
on the line. The man who makes the first pin will become the Euro champion,
and whoever is pinned is out of the match. The remaining two will face
off for the IC title. The first one pinned is RVD, but Edge, who gets the
Euro title. Christian throws a fit when he realizes he's lost his title
without being pinned. However, he gets himself together in time to continue
with the match. In a shocking twist, Christian manages to roll Edge up
for the three count, becoming the new IC champion!
Edge & Christian/Test & Booker T
Beginning champions:
Edge - Euro
Christian - IC
In the aftermath of his IC title win, Christian squabbles with Booker.
Booker boasts that he could beat Christian in a handicap match, and tells
Christian to find a partner and meet him in the ring. At the same time,
Test mocks Edge in the same way, making the same challenge. While searching
for partners, E&C bump into each other and hesitantly agree to team
up to take on Booker and Test. E&C prevail and win the match, although
they're very awkward with each other. After the match, RVD, pissed about
losing his IC belt and being the first one pinned at their recent PPV match,
runs in and attacks them both. E&C combine their might and beat him
down. After RVD is taken care of, they just look at each other across the
ring for a moment, then they embrace. The crowd goes nuts! E&C are
back together!!!!!! E&C continue to dominate both the singles and tag
divisions. A few months after this, Christian proudly supports his brother
when Edge captures the Unified title for the first time (of many reigns).
Matt Hardy/Christian (IC title)
Beginning champion: Christian
This feud would stretch out over two months and two PPVs. Matt would
be playing a devious, vicious (and solo) heel. At their first PPV match,
Christian defeats Matt, but in a controversial ending. Matt is pissed off
and keeps going after Christian, participating in a lot of general heel
antics. They have another match at the next PPV. This time Matt cheats
and wins the belt. Matt becomes a glorious heel champion!
Matt Hardy/Rhyno (IC title)
Beginning champion: Matt
This would be a two months feud as well. At their first PPV match, Matt
loses the belt to Rhyno. He refuses to leave the new champ alone, eventually
scoring a match for the belt at the next PPV. However, he loses again.
He goes ballistic after his second loss, storming around the back and picking
a fight with the first guy he meet, who happens to be RVD. This triggers
their feud.
Matt Hardy/RVD (non title feud)
This is more of a grudge feud than anything having to do with titles.
Matt's still pissed over losing the IC title, and RVD is really ticked
off with Matt for picking a fight with him when he was completely innocent.
They have some hard fought matches, eventually climaxing in a dazzling
battle on PPV. Matt pulls off the win, furthering his heel character by
taunting RVD, making fun of him for his recent losses, and his loss of
the IC title a few months back to Christian, who Matt eventually defeated.
This rivalry would last for some time, long past when their feud had ended.
Test & Booker T/APA (Number 1 contender spot for tag titles)
Both these teams think that they should be the Nu. 1 contenders for
Chuck and Billy's tag titles. They clash several times in and out of the
ring, their rivalry leading up to a brutal PPV match for the Nu. 1 contender
position and a title shot. Test and Booker pull off the win, cheating just
a little bit, which, naturally, they deny when confronted about it. A staple
of this team is that they're both arrogant, a significant liability in
their attempted domination of the tag division.
Test & Booker T/Chuck & Billy (tag titles)
Beginning champions: Billy and Chuck
Test and Booker T still wrestle singles, but often team up together,
and have become major competitors for the tag titles. They mock current
champs Billy and Chuck, claiming it would be no problem to defeat them
and take their belts. There are some heated confrontations in the ring
and back stage in the weeks leading up to the PPV, at which Billy and Chuck
prove their wrestling ability by pulling off a clean win over their opponents
and retaining the belts.
Kurt (with Stephanie)/HHH
There just aren't two other wrestlers that have the same level of chemistry
in the ring as HHH and Kurt. Their matches are always interesting, hard
fault, and interesting throughout. Steph recruits Kurt to help her get
a measure of revenge on HHH, in a way picking up where their feud left
off in in Summer 2000, except with Steph on the opposite side. No titles
on the line, only pride. However, this feud will lead to a shocking twist.
After fighting a good match at the PPV, Kurt simply lies down for HHH and
allows himself to be pinned. While Steph shrieks with rage, Kurt picks
up a mic, revealing that he's had a better offer; to be HHH tag partner!
This is only the start of the path of destruction HHH and Kurt will carve
out together.
HHH & Kurt/Edge & Christian
The newly reunited E&C don't have to wait long for their first big
challenge. HHH and Kurt immediately begin to go after the talented blondes,
citing the reason that E&C are the greatest tag team ever, and if they
can beat the blonde bombshells, they can prove that they're the best. After
several embarrassing losses caused by miscommunications and accidents,
it looks as if HHH and Kurt may be parting ways already, the losses causing
heat between them. However, they come back strong at their PPV match, cheating
to defeat E&C and reveling in the victory.
HHH/Jericho
Jericho has a bone to pick with HHH, choosing the Game as he current
target of ridicule. HHH, with Kurt as his ally, scoffs and Y2J's challenges.
Despite HHH's dominance of several matches, with Kurt's help, at the PPV
Jericho sounds defeats the Game. HHH accepts defeat with surprising graciousness,
saying that he's impressed with Jericho, and asking him to join him and
Kurt to form an undefeatable faction. Jericho accepts.
Edge/HHH (Unified title)
Beginning champion: Edge
Eventually, as HHH's faction gains power, the Game decides to go after
the Unified title. He and his faction antagonize Edge until the champion
challenges Hunter to a PPV match for the title. It's a long, hard fought
match, but despite interference from Kurt and Jericho, Edge manages to
retain the title. Christian is able to distract Kurt and Jericho, battling
them up the ramp while Edge gets the pin on HHH. As soon as the bell has
rung, Edge runs up the ramp to save his partner, thoroughly trouncing the
heel faction.
