Reasons it Ruled
Reasons it Sucked
*Goldust as Goldyclause
*RVD telling Kane to "find his inner Kane"
*CnC/Bookerdust continued feud
*Good matches and mic time for CnC
*RVD asking Coach "What've you been smoking?"
*Interesting 3MW/Batista/RVD/Kane stuff
*Test
*No real divas match
*Scott Sweiner/HHH ME waste
*Customary jobber match (Storm/Regal vs Dudleys)
*No Rico (out with flu)

Overall: Good show! Two extremely good backstage clips and several good matches. The whole HHH/Steiner/ME time plot was a waste, but the rest of the show was done well enough that it seemed great, regardless. The opening match was the only really terrible thing on this show, and Storm/Regal vs Dudleys was a waste, but at least neither wasted a huge amount of time. This was for a most part a very enjoyable show!

Reasons it Ruled
Reasons it Sucked
*Christian & Jericho talking and MEing
*No Scott Steiner
*Booker T/Goldust drama
*Kane doing his "Hello Morely"
*Rico and suddenly fashionable Jamal
*RVD intercepting Steiner's call
*Victoria/Stevie connection
*HHH/Shawn ending
*Randy Orton Update
*Jackie had a match
*No Hurricane, Test, or Dreamer match
*Predictable "brawl" ending to the ME
*Test
*Boring Storm/Regal match
*RVD going from ME last week to jobber this week
*Jeff vs HHH, part 20
*3MW left out of PPV tag match
*Kane beats 3MW in handicap match
*Repeat of Heat match (Nowinski/D'lo vs Al/Maven)
*No Ivory

Overall: This show started off pretty bad. Most of the matches were very poorly booked, and there weren't very many intereting clips or plot parts. However, there were a fair amount of redeaming moments later in the show, and the ME was definitely good. It also ended on a pretty good note leading into Armegeddon this Sunday. Really not a great show, but decent, and it left you with a good taste in your mouth.

Reasons it Ruled
Reasons it Sucked
*Psycho Torrie kicking ass
*Screechy outraged Heyman
*Josh Matthews! (TE1 cutie)
*Edge talks!
*Edge/Kurt teaming, with their history
*Cena/B-squared
*No pointless Brock brawling, for once
*No Rey Mysterio!
*Albert ("A-train") on SD
*Kurt asks Brock to be in his corner at the PPV
*Decent cruiserweight match (Noble/Crash)
*Billy Kidman
*Potentially awesome Guerrero/Benoit ruined by
the addition of Kidman
*Billy Kidman
*Sweiner/Steph segment
*No Mattitude!!!!!
*Mega ugly/annoying Nunzio
*Billy Kidman

Overall: Well first off, one little thing that annoyed me about this show was that Albert was christened "A-train" at the beginning of the show, and magically has music/video to go with his new name by the end. Wow, those boys in the production truck are fast! Beyond that, this was a decent show. There were only two things on the show I really hated: Billy Kidman and Scott Steiner. Kidman being included in the Guerreros/Benoit match was ridiculous, it ruined the entire match. That seriously hurt the show. The Steiner/Steph bit was boring and a waste. However, the show was otherwise very strong, the lack of Matt Hardy excepted. The ME and ME-related bits were actually watchable this week. I also liked the soap opera of Dawn/Torrie, awful as it may be. I felt pretty good about the show by the time it ended.

This Week's Winner: This is rather hard to call. Neither show was that great, but then, neither show was that bad either. However, I'm gonna give the win to Smackdown. SD left me with a pretty good feeling about the show, despite having one extremely botched match (the foul of putting Kidman in with good, ME quality wrestlers). That match excepted, SD had pretty decent matches, while RAW was pretty disappointing match-wise. The RAW backstage clips were probably a bit more entertaining than the SD, but SD still had some enjoyable ones, and the added to the better matches is enough to make it this week's winner.

RAW 12/2/02

Reasons it Ruled
Reasons it Sucked
*Two great women's matches
*Victoria/Jackie clip
*Victoria and Stevie
*3MW and CnC destroy Dudleys
*Batista destroys Hurricane
*Shawn as a guest referee
*Ivory!!!
*CnC have chains on their bags
*Jericho vs Booker turned into CnC vs Bookerdust
*Rico was there
*Christian in a new black singlet!
*Jericho Anthology Cut for "Break Down the Walls"
*Scott Sweiner
*Slutty Stephanie
*Test F-vew clip
*Cheating faces (Dudleys)
*Customary jobber match (Hardy/Dreamer vs Storm/Regal)

Overall: Very solid booking and entertaining backstage clips.  All the matches were great except for the jobber match, which really belonged on Heat. Good follow up with the CnC/Dudleys angle and great continuity with Jericho/Booker. The only really terrible thing was Sweiner's bit, but the rest of the show was so good, it makes up for it. Again, EXCELLENT SHOW!

SmackDown! 12/5/02

Reasons it Ruled
Reasons it Sucked
*4-way elimination match
*Dawn/Torrie sexiness
*No Scott Sweiner
*Los Guerreros
*Albert on SD
*Edge got to talk
*Tazz back on commentary
*B-squared in nice tight clothes
*Steph's boring speech
*Rikishi's rapping
*Kidman had a match
*Big Show/Brock snoozefest
*Edge/Albert feud tease
*Bill DeMott playing a whiny jerk instead of the adorable Hugh Morrus of days past
*Most of the matches pulled from Velocity
*No Mattitude!!!!

Overall: The 4-way match was fabulous (Edge vs Eddie vs Kurt vs Benoit), but the end was extremely disappointing. I was hoping Edge was going to get his shot, at last, but it seems this was just another cruel tease. If he had won, it would've been a huge underdog victory, with the beating he took from Albert just prior to the match. It's rather insulting for them to be apparently feuding Edge with a guy who hadn't been on SD in months, too. The rest of the show seemed like matches taken off Velocity. The Guerreros clip and Dawn/Torrie bits were entertaining, but not enough to pull this show out of the gutter. Definitely a hugely disappointing, worse than average show.

This Week's Winner: RAW! No question about it, again. RAW was hugely enjoyable almost all the way through, while SD was teasing, but disappointing. SD felt very sub-par, while RAW was far, far about par. Big victory for RAW, for the second week in a row!
